Aurelien Lardy

.

biography

Young animal from the Chamonix valley, passionate about all forms of snowsports, Aurelien loves to get out of his comfort zone, whether it's skiing, biking or climbing. He craves for adrenaline shots, and sharing with friends. He has been on the alpine ski circuit for a long time, up to the European Cup, where he ended his racing career shortly after his 20th birthday, tangled in a net with a bottle in his hand.

It was time for him to turn to the Mont Blanc massif, where he had lived since he was 6 years old. His ski is solid, thanks to his alpine bases, it allows him to weld any freeride slope and to put big flip drop or double back, his most faithful tricks.

But what really drives the animal and takes him almost all his winters are the high mountains and their steepest couloirs. Inspired and creative, Aurel loves to put his eyes on the most twisted and least skiable faces. The more complicated it seems, the more seduction works, and the more he is attracted.

The next logical step was to go on an expedition and climb even higher, like what he did last summer in Peru on the 6000m of the Cordillera Blanca (first repetition of the North East face of the giant Ranrapalca, 6162m). His quest for first descents also takes him to the Mont Blanc massif, where he signed the steep gullies of the Tacul triangle.

A skier to follow, but not too closely.
