Marte Tveten

.

Biography

Coming late to skiing, Marte developed a thirst for learning and improvement that took her beyond her expectations. Carefree and daring, Marte one day left her beautiful country, Norway, to reach Chamonix and find herself in the winter whirlwind without knowing how to ski or speak French. However, she feels she can become a skier and repeats the experience the following season, this time discovering hiking and the routes that cross the Mont Blanc massif. She then leaves Chamonix for the 4 Valleys where she continued her apprenticeship up to the freeride competitions. Never losing motivation despite a difficult start, she ended up conquering respectable positions and even some podiums, such as a fourth place at the Freeride World Qualifier in Vars and a second place in Avoriaz. Now on her way to the FWQ, who knows how far her desire to go higher might take her? Determined in life as well as in studies, Marte is completing a degree in economics, management and sustainability. She lives in Verbier and continues to look to the future as an open window on skiing.
