the program

Organic and linear improvements for this incomparable mid-fat all terrain ski which is reputed for its tolerance and playfulness.
This modernisation hinges around a very progressive flex and the lengthening of the side so as to strengthen its great manoeuvrability and its hold at high speed. This new progressive and supple flex makes it even better to handle and more adapted to progression, confirming its DNA derived from freestyle ; whereas the lengthening of its side lines give a more effective and more stable edge. Creativity for everybody on all types of terrain.
The Camox is my "go to ski " for a wild stroll through the ski resort. It's performing and stable on the piste and the extra playfulness of the new version makes it a side-hit weapon. The 97 mm width gives it good float if you have a bit of powder or some spring slush while keeping it snappy on the hardpack. Flo Bastien

awards

  • With a massive turn radius, the camox performed best at speed with long turns and an upright stance. Don’t let the ski’s park roots fool you, however, as the added pop made this ski supremely maneuverable in variable terrain, pleasing skiers who prefer brands that don’t have FIS pedigrees. Kray: “Nimble, stable, and very smooth. Really easy to ski.” Ski Mag Best Men's All-Mountain Skis 2020
  • Black Crows is known for high-altitude skis designed to fly in the upper reaches of the French Alps. But on down days, when the flock stays close to home, the Camox comes out. With Double Beak rocker--more pronounced in the tip than the tail--plus camber underfoot, a poplar wood core, carbon-Kevlar strips running the length of the ski, and ABS sidewalls to absorb vibrations, the Camox pivots easily and rails turns on a firm edge. It's a lively ski that responds well underfoot. "This ski has no speed limit," says ex-racer Kelsey Barnes. "Ski it like a super G ski and it's still as stable as a rock, responsive, and energetic." Powder Magazine skier’s choice 2017
  • The 2016-17 season marks the tenth anniversary of Chamonix-based Black Crows and also the brand’s second year appearing on North American ski shop walls. Among its many offerings, the Camox received rave reviews from our testers, including, “Charged hard with on-point stability and good pop,” “Quite playful, good on edge” and “Pivots superbly and ollies off ‘errythang.’” Its poplar core provides dampness in a lightweight package, and carbon Kevlar stringers ensure excellent stability and torsional rigidity. Its mix of tip and tail rocker and camber underfoot translates to top-notch handling through the trees and bumps and rip roarin’ good times on the open slopes. Freeskier editors' pick
